Basketball: 1st years vs. 2nd years
The 2015 SLCM sportsfest kicked off with a basketball game between the first years and the second years.
The second years started strong, dominating the first two quarters, outscoring their opponents 18 - 9.
The first years had a resurgence in the last two quarters which included a 7-0 run in the 3rd quarter and a 12-4 run in the 4th.
Ultimately it was not enough as the second years edged the first years 31-29.
Carl Favorito led the second years with 11 points, other scorers include Cuarte (7), Surio (6), Yarra (4), Valencia (2), and Villangca (1). The first years on the other hand were led by Teddy Ang with 12 points, other scorers include Visaya(6), Garcia(4), Tan(3), Mirhun sp? (2), and Monteclaro (2)
Basketball: 3rd years vs. CiFaSt
The next game of the night was a basketball game between the CIFAST and the 3rd years.
The third years started strong and edged out the CIFAST 10-6 during the first quarter.
Afterwards it was a rout by the CIFAST as they dominated the rest of the game, which included an immaculate 24 - 0 (34-4 overall) run during the second and third quarters, and a 21 - 10 run during the fourth quarter, for an overall score of 61-23.
The CIFAST was led by intern Steve Cambe who scored a total of 18 points. Other scorers include So (12), Diaz (9), Ledda (8), Alvarado (4), Uy (4), Bernardo (2), and Yarra (2). The third years were led by Mark Aragones who scored a total of 12 points. Other scorers include Adrian (6), Dado (4), and Celera (1).

Last game of the day was a volleyball game between the CIFAST and the 2nd years.
The second years got off to a good start in the first set easing to a comfortable 21 - 14 lead.
Errors from the second year, as well as strong defensive play from the CIFAST saw them tie the score at 22-22.
But the second years dug deep, ultimately closed the set at 25 - 22.
The second set was a similar story. The second years started strong and pulled ahead with their fast-paced and aggresive style of play, for a commanding 21-12 lead.
Errors then started to seep into the 2nd years game, and solid defensive play from the CIFAST saw them close the gap to 24-21.
Ultimately it was too little too late, as the 2nd years closed the match in 2 sets 25-22, 25-21.
For the second years the top scorer was Jose Ang who had a total of 8 clean winners. Other scorers include Naraval (5), Velasquez (3), Villangca (3), Ayuson (2), Surio (2) and Caballes (1). The 2nd years made a total of 35 errors throughout the match.
For the CIFAST the top scorer was Ordillo who had 4 clean winners throughout the match. Other scorers include Macalintal (2), Sandoval (1), and Alega (1). The CIFAST made a total of 26 errors throughout the match
