What made you run for externals PRO? And why did you file your candidacy just today?
At the start of the school year, I really wanted to run but then parang ayoko na. Naging grade conscious na. So, eventually people asked me if “tatakbo ka ba?”, sabi ko parang hindi na lang. Dumadating yung circumstances na bakit hindi nalang talaga ako tumakbo? There's this some “outer force” na parang pinupush ako to run. I don't know what pero talagang may nag pupush sa akin mag run so sabi ko, sayang yung opportunity. So why not? Better late than never.
Is this "internal" force? Or did your friends push you to run?
Collective e. Yung internal parang there's really something eh.
As an incoming second year, how do you think would you be able to balance your academics knowing that academics was the factor that hindered you from running?
My undergrad is BS Microbiology, so feeling ko kasi may advantage na ako for next year, essentially just for microbiology. Pero as far as sinabi nila, pati na rin daw sa pathology. So parang sabi ko since ganun naman pala siguro yung magiging case, and sabi ko mas gusto ko yung mga subjects next year kasi atleast medyo gamay ko yung subjects next year, so why not diba?
What are the current problems that you see in our student council or in our school that you think you could address if you were elected as external pro?
Feeling ko kasi the student council now is more focused into a small population type of community. But we're growing na as a school na parang hindi na fit yung the way na pinapatakbo yung school. Maya't maya yung external pro yung mismong pumupunta sa classroom, parang ang exhausting isipin yung hindi nauutilize yung manpower ng school. And I think as an external PRO, if elected as external pro, I think I can address to the fact na kaya kong imaximize yung manpower ng school not just sa information dissemination ng school but also sa human resource and logistics in preparation for events.

What are your concrete measures or projects for next year?
Yung projects or platforms that I chose are not focused on the duties preset by the constitution. Kasi I believe that those preset by the constitution are my duties and responsibilities and are expected of me, so why should I make a project or projects that would still go that way e I'm expected to do those? So I thought why not expand and use yung pagka external PRO and make other projects?
So first is yung “Exposed”, it's a beneficiary concert na kasama yung PAL and all other organizations sa school. So spearheaded siya technically ng SC and then performers are the PAL and then if there are other non-members ng PAL that would like to join, they can perform as well. So hindi lang naka focus yung invitation sa student population natin, so from outside or ibang schools kasali. Ang goal is to generate an income na for the student organizations involved and of course dun sa beneficiary na makukuha natin like cancer institute and the like.
Second is yung “Hairography”, a project na magdodonate ng hair ang students if ever willing sila na mag donate sa mga cancer patients through a charity na nagaaccept ng hair donations.
Last would be “Project X”, this one is my way of using the manpower of the school na parang I'll let the students think of their own projects , what they want to see in the school, the projects they want ganun and then icocollate and ipapavote Ang mga students , and which ever project wins, ma spespearhead by the person who made or suggested the project together with the student council. So May project na ulit tayo.
External PRO works with the External VP. What do you think is the difference between their jobs and what do you think will set you, as an External PRO, apart from the work of the External VP?
I think mostly information dissemination talaga yung main difference. Kasi when you hear external pro parang laging information dissemination talaga yung unang papasok. But still, jobs-wise, Siguro APMC involvement, mas mataas ata ang pull ng EVP kaysa EPRO although they're still both part of the APMC.
As an external PRO, how will you encourage your classmates and schoolmates to join or participate in school activities like house games, MGMR, Sportsfest, Palarong Med etc? Given that not all actually join or participate.
Naisip ko yung Project X na project kasi iniisip ko na kung galing na sainyo yan (yung project) bakit hindi niyo siya susupportahan? So thinking of the past projects bakit konti lang yung pumupunta. Siguro acads, disinterest. Pero ngayon, gumawa ka ng project na alam mong nanggaling sa studyante, sila nag isip, gusto nila yan, pinagbotohan nila yan, I'm pretty sure na pupuntahan nila yan dahil in my past experience, ganyan yung ginawa namin sa dating kong org and then ok naman yung kinalabasan. Well supported naman. So I think that will work here as well.
Pano mo mahihingkayat yung mga classmates mo? Or say, higher years?
Para sakin kasi Hindi na dapat nanghihingkayat, dapat nanggagaling na sa students, although of course kailangan May pubmats ka, incentives, Pagkain, I mean parang usual na pang hingkayat yung mga yun. Siguro this time yung panghihingkayat dapat nanggaling na sakanila, parang sila na yung gusto this time ng mga projects , Hindi yung ipupush natin sakanila. I think it all matters in the project itself not just sa mga sasabihin natin, yung essence talaga.
How badly do you want to win, and why should we vote for you?
How badly do I want to win? Para sa akin I don't think I badly badly want to win. Ang gusto ko lang Siguro ay makapagserve, whether with the title or not, I would still be willing to serve. So the answer with that is not necessarily badly wanting to win. Win or lose ok lang. Why do people should vote for me? My background as a consistent student leader in college, the training I know it has made me tough, made me learn all these values - leadership, honesty all that, na instill na sakin yung mga yun so I think yung training ko before prepared me to lead in med school.
Do you think grades matter when you're in the position? Do you think it is a factor in being a student leader?
I think kailangan talaga na you do well, (if) not super well but at least you do good, you pass.
